We're a Living Wage Employer

We’ve all heard of the statutory term ‘minimum wage’, and perhaps even the term ‘national living wage’.

How about the real living wage?

“The real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate that is voluntarily paid by over 11,000 UK businesses who believe their staff deserve a wage which meets everyday needs – like the weekly shop, or a surprise trip to the dentist”  livingwage.org.uk

Why pay the real living wage?

At AA Salt we are proud of many things, but one of our more recent accomplishments is that we are now a member of the Living Wage Foundation.

None of us are immune to the rise in inflation which has spiked over the past few months, and the cost-of-living crisis has meant that people are struggling more than ever expected.

Introducing the Living Wage for our staff has meant that we can be sure that we are doing the right thing by them, and also makes good business sense for us.

Investing in People is Investing in our Business

We believe that providing our staff with a great work culture and environment is only part of the wider picture – being a part of a team with a good financial base is crucial as it ensures that there is reassurance and stability for everyone.

By investing in our people, we are setting a precedent of how our business will continue.

A happy, motivated staff means that their happiness will carry on through into their work ethic and work effort.

Becoming a member of The Living Wage Foundation has ensured that we can be safe in the knowledge that we are doing all that we possibly can for our people.

Putting People First

Creating a place of work where our staff feel valued, cared for and important, are all key factors in our desire to be a great place to work.

A team with good compensation and working conditions allows for a happier, stabilised business – something which we are proud to say we have achieved and are maintaining!

Nikki's 50K Your Way Across The Sahara

Nikki’s ’50K Your Way’ Across the Sahara Desert

During the past year, Nikki has been undertaking some extremely strenuous training to complete her ’50K Your Way’ trek across the Sahara, on behalf of St. Richard’s Hospice. Well, we’re happy to report that she has completed the feat as of the 27th of March!

Nikki has more than doubled her £1000 target for the charity, thanks to the generosity of friends, family and clients alike. AA Salt will also match her efforts for St. Richard’s.
