AA Salt Set for more awards Success

Six months after we gratefully received our Family Business of the Year award from Hereford & Worcester Chamber of Commerce we now have another nomination for a local business award.

Shortlisted by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) in their West Midlands Family Business of the Year category, we are alongside four other businesses run by local families.

Highlighting the work we’ve done to keep businesses open during harsh winter weather , our business model has also drawn attention.

We serve all manner of companies including retail parks, medical surgeries, offices complexes, hospitals, supermarkets and others who require safe access for staff and customers in snowy and icy conditions.

Our goal is to also become Carbon Neutral in ten years using non-toxic salt for gritting and ensuring our supply chain is as environmentally friendly as possible.  As we offset our carbon, we also reduce our customer’s carbon footprint as they use our services in favour of a less sustainable company.

In response to the nomination AA Salt’s Sales & Operations Director, Ben Tanner said:

“To be shortlisted for this award just under a year since winning our first ever recognition is fantastic news.

“The effort and commitment it needs to run a family business is huge and every day we try to give our customers the best service possible, while also being aware of the environment and how we can make the business as sustainable as possible. That focus has paid off and helped us grow our number of customers across the public and private sectors.

“Just to be shortlisted for such a prestigious award is another proud moment for us and we would love to go all the way to the national finals in London later this year. It is recognition that everyone at AA Salt is pulling in the right direction.”

As we hit September we’re beginning preparations for the Winter ahead and expanding our service in anticipation of demand.
